There’s some great comedies (Harold and Kumar, the first three Jackass movies) and our underrated pick of the month John Q (More on that below), not a single horror film in sight for the first day of May BUT we do have Stranger Things Season Four Part One later in the month.

Our underrated pick of the month is John Q. When Denzel Washington’s son needs a heart transplant but they can’t afford it (because our medical care system is more fucked up than Ezra Miller at a Hawaiian Karaoke Jam) he holds the whole goddamn Hospital hostage to save his kid. It’s heartbreaking, edge of your seat and quite entertaining. One of those movies that when cable existed you would catch halfway through and just say “Well, there goes the next hour and a half of my life because my ass ain’t goin’ nowhere.”
