Today marks the first piece of content ever put out by my new venture MIKE SEES DEAD MOVIES which will cover movies nobody seems to care about. Whether it’s straight to digital VOD flicks or deep dives into older films, experiencing forgotten classics for the first time or covering a Jean Claude Van Damme straight to video entry from the early 2000’s. Maybe it’s a podcast or a written review or a video special. I have no idea what the future will hold but I’m very excited to bring some attention to the non-superhero or franchise movies of the world.

It’s going to feel good to cover the shit nobody cares about. Even if it means there’s no-one listening.

So last night on Thanksgiving night after the kids went to bed we came across ON THE LINE on Vudu. A straight to VOD Mel Gibson flick (of which there seems to be a considerable amount lately).

Lethal Weapon may very well be my favorite movie of all time and Riggs my favorite character. So, I hope you understand Mel Gibson also happens to be one of my favorite actors of all time and it has absolutely nothing to do with any fuck you to politically correct society. I realize to some he’s still persona non grata though his crimes were long ago and others who’ve done far…
